Weekly Jazz Workshop, Suspended until COVID-19 is Under Control
We had a great turnout for our first Jazz Workshop, and we're looking forward to seeing more of you in the weeks to come. For now we are cancelling the weekly workshop and will let members know when we resume. Stay healthy and safe.
About the Workshop...
The fun starts at noon and goes til 2pm. Entry at 830 E. 17th Street (Tucson Party Rentals entry). The Workshop is free to members and $10/person for non-members.
The workshop will focus on learning jazz standards from The Real Book and Great American Songbook. Participants will learn to play with a jazz combo in a fun, focused, and supportive environment.
The workshop is open to all instruments, and all levels of players, including musicians of other genres who want to expand their jazz vocabulary and chops. Advanced players often sit in and offer advice, much like an open jam session, creating a great low-pressure learning environment.
Backline includes basic PA system 88-key piano and a bass amp. Bring your instrument and amp.
